Kijani Kenya Trust is unique in that it not only acts to finance grassroots projects in Kenya, it also acts as a catalyst.
Kijani’s model is to partner with groups or organisations that have a proven track record of project management.
Kijani is a generator, to help initiate ideas, partnerships and funds for projects which support the health and environmental conservation in Kenya.”
The initial concept was to bring international music to Kenya to raise money for Kijani’s charitable efforts.
Today, Kijani has expanded its fundraising efforts to include applications for grants and trusts and also receives private and corporate donations.
What we fund
Kijani often works directly with community groups, using key community contacts to help move the projects forward. This grassroots approach is central to Kijani’s success – by funding groups that are based in the community, Kijani can ensure that those with the most need benefit from Kijani’s funding and initiatives.
